General Assembly

The General Assembly of NEWGOV is the ultimate decision-making body of the Consortium. It is composed of institutional representatives from each partner. The Director of the Robert Schuman Centre of the European University Institute serves as the chairperson of the General Assembly.

In particular, it decides on the annual implementation plan, the budget allocation, the acceptance of new parties as well as the exclusion of parties, the alteration of the Consortium Agreement, and on the premature completion / termination of the project.

The General Assembly is convened once a year during the annual Consortium Conference, but at the same time decision-making is also organised by written procedure. The first General Assembly took place at the European University Institute, 31 May 2005.
